2. Hand dry hair or diffuse for more texture.
3. Once hair is dry spray Bb. Surf Soray all over, then twist strands to create messy texture.

Grown Up Grunge Tutorial

We have been having fun with the new Bb. Cityswept! We love it for all hair types and on men and women! Our first tutorial is a Grown up version of 90's grunge. We are obsessed!
1. On damp hair apply Bb. Prep then Bb. Thickening Full Form Mousse, concentrating on the roots.
2. Using a blow drier hand dry hair to remove moisture from hair.
3. Once hair is 80% dry use a round brush to finish the blow dry.
4. When hair is completely dry use a 1" curling iron to create waves (curl hair away from your face).
5. Let hair cool.
6. Mist Bb. CITYSWEPT Finish through your hair, concentrating at the ends, lifting hair as you spray.

Cannes Film Festival 2013

Every year, the fashion stakes get higher at the annual Cannes Film Festival in the south of France. After all, it’s where some of the world’s biggest movie stars and tastemakers flock to attend movie screenings and soirees, all the while dressed in incredibly glamorous ensembles and amazing hair to boot!

Alessandra Ambrosio kept things sleek and simple with a center part and straight locks to compliment her dress.

We love Olivia Palermo's loosely pulled back updo.

You know we are suckers for over the shoulder, retro waves like Cara Delevingne's!

Whether you like it or not, ombre hair is still alive and well! Sara Forestier's is subtle and perfect for summer.

We swoon over Naomi Watts short, retro waves!

The retro theme continues with Marion Cotillard's voluminous, french twist.

And nothing says summer like Isla Fisher's relaxed, beachy waves!

Fresh from the Beach

Sadly we live far from the ocean, but that doesn't mean you can't create the perfect beach waves in your very own bathroom! All you need is a curling iron and some Bb. Surf Spray to create these easy, laid-back waves.
1. On dry hair spray Does it All hairspray from roots to ends for heat protection.
2. Gather a 1 to 2-inch section of hair. Near the base, make a half turn with your iron and let sit for a few seconds before slowly releasing the curl.
3. With the same section of hair, make another half turn with your iron facing the opposite direction. Hold for a few seconds and gently release.
4. Spritz Bb. Surf Spray throughout hair to break up the curls and give the hair more texture.
The resulting look is a cross between a finger wave and a curling iron set but requires half the effort! Pin It

Classic and sleek.

The Amazing Emma Stone

We couldn't be more excited for the new Spiderman movie to come out, especially since we are such big Emma Stone fans. Seeing her and beau Andrew Garfield on the red carpet makes our hearts melt, and her hair has been equally amazing. Her hair is at that length that everyone calls the "awkward phase" but she proves you can still look glam at any length.

Beachy Volume

We love the idea of doing this for a summer night out, gorgeous yet effortless.

1. Mist Thickening Hairspray on damp hair, roots to ends.
2. Layer Surf Spray roots to ends.
3. Heat style as you would normally – blow dry, hand dry, hot roll, diffuse – building volume, waves and
curls to your liking.

Bb.Stylist tip: You can add more Surf Spray the next day to make this look last. Spray it in your hands, rub
your palms together and rake your fingers through waves for a messier, broken down finish

Sexy Definition

We've said it before and we'll say it again, we are obsessed with Surf Spray this summer! Bumble and bumble came out with an amazing collection of hairstyles inspired by Surf Spray and we are so excited to share them with you (we used these images as our inspiration in our class last week)! If you want sexy definition like Veronika follow these easy steps:

1. Mist Surf Spray on damp hair, focusing on roots.
2. Layer Grooming Creme roots to ends.
3. Air-dry for natural definition (stand in the wind) or diffuse for a sexy, beachy texture

Bb.Stylist tip: Once hair is dry, add some more Grooming Creme for moister, more flexible texture – it
feels like salt water with a little suntan lotion.

Jessica Chastain Academy Awards

Jessica Chastain looked fresh and gorgeous at the Academy Awards. Her hair color is a huge trend right now but today we are sharing how to get her beachy waves. You can do this style on clean hair but could just as easily do it on second-day (dirty) hair. You can skip to step #3 if you're working with dirty hair.
1. On damp hair spray Prep all over hair, spray roots with Thickening Hairspray and smooth a small amount of Grooming Creme through your ends.
2. Blow dry hair. Use a roundbrush at the roots to create volume and use your fingers to dry your ends.
3. Spritz Surf Spray on the ends of your hair and wrap 1 inch sections of hair (away from your face) around a 1 inch curling iron.
4. Spritz a little more Surf Spray on your hair and use fingers to break up the curls.
4. Backcomb the hair at your crown and smooth the top layer down. Leaving your bangs out, pull back the top section of your hair. Twist the hair down (like the opposite direction of a french twist) and bobby pin underneath to secure. Spray hair lightly with Spray de Mode. Pin It

hair how-to: rockin' waves

Demi Lovato's rockin' waves were one of the most talked about 'do's from the MTV VMA's. We have had a lot of requests to put together a hair how-to for this look, so without further ado....
1} Spray damp hair with Bb. Prep and Thickening Hairspray.
2} Blow-dry the hair using a medium-sized round brush.
3} Spray hair with Bb. Does it All (a heat protectant).
4} Using a 1½-inch barrel curling iron, take 2-inch sections and wind the hair around your iron (away from your face).
5} Once you pull each section off the curling iron sray hair again with Spray de Mode hairspray.
6} Continue around the whole head until all the hair has been curled. Gently run your fingers through the hair and finish with a final mist of Spray de Mode. Pin It
