Pony Up

We love Claire Danes and her easy-going, effortless style. Her look at the SAG Awards didn't disappoint. Her low ponytail perfectly complemented her one shoulder gown. We love this ponytail because it's casual but depending on what you wear you can also dress it up!
1. As always with an up-style we recommend doing it on second-day/dirty hair, it holds better.
2. Spray hair with Bb. Hair Powder to soak up hair oils and give the hair volume and grip. Smooth Hairdressers Oil through your ends to smooth the hair.
3. Lightly test the hair at the crown. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck, letting a few pieces fall out in the front. Secure the hair with a tie.
4. Pull at the pieces around the ears to keep the look ethereal and not overdone.
5. Wrap a small piece of hair from under the ponytail around the hair tie and secure underneath with a bobby pin.
6. Finish with Spray de mode hairspray for a soft hold.

Take care, too. Follow nights of heavy styling with Mending, Quenching or Creme de Coco Masque.

Jessica Alba {Golden Globes}

We saved one of our favorites of the night for last. We are suckers for old school glamour and hair inspired by vintage starlets like Rita Hayworth so of course we drooled over Jessica Alba's velvety waves.
1. On wet hair spray Thickening Hairpsray on your roots for volume and smooth Grooming Creme through your ends. Blow dry hair using your hands.
2. Curl hair away from your face, pin each curl up as you go and let your hair cool.
3. Once completely cooled, release each curl. Using a boar bristle flat brush, brush out curls to form waves.
4. Finish with Spray de Mode hairspray for hold and a little Bb. Shine on the ends.

Julianne Moore {Golden Globes}

We loved this smooth, classic French Twist on Julianne Moore.
1. Spray Bb. Hair Powder on dirty hair to soak up hair oils.
2. Create a deep side part. Backcomb hair at the crown and spray with Spray de Mode Hairspray for hold.
3. Smooth all your hair to the nape of your neck with a flat brush. Starting at the nape of your neck twist the hair to the side and up, securing with bobbies as you go.
4. Smooth flyways and add shine with Semisumo.

Kerry Washington {Golden Globes}

We loved the blunt on blunt on blunt of Kerry's hair, yet it is still soft and feminine. This whole style revolves around a great razor cut, it will give your hair texture and movement without having to add a bunch of layers, so make sure you go to someone who is trained in razor cutting (like our Salon K stylists!).
1. On wet hair spray Thickening Hairspray on roots and smooth Bb. Straight Blow Dry through the ends of your hair.
2. Blow dry hair upside down until slightly damp.
3. Section your hair out with clips and using a Boar Bristle Flat Brush (we love Bumble and bumble's) blow dry your bangs first (to avoid any wierd partings or kinks) and then blow dry hair smooth.
4. Smooth Semisumo through the ends for shine and texture. If you want more hold spritz some Spray de Mode Hairspray. Pin It

Anne Hathaway {Golden Globes}

We are obsessed with Anne Hathaway's pixie cut, we envy her for looking good with any hair length.
1. On wet hair spray Prep all over hair and smooth UV Styling balm through hair for light hold and shine.
2. Blow dry hair, use your hands to direct your hair where you want it to go (hair forward and to the side). You may need to use a flat brush to smooth your bangs and top layers.
3. Once hair is completely dry smooth Semisumo through your hands and sculpt hair into the shape you want, scrunching the top a little for volume and smoothing the sides and back down. Pin It

Emily Blunt {Golden Globes}

Emily Blunt proves that topknots can be just as much dressy as they are casual, it just depends on the placement of the bun.
1. On dirty/second-day hair spray Bb. Hair Powder to give the hair grip and to soak up any oils.
2. Smooth hair to the crown of your head and secure with a hair tie.
3. Lightly backcomb ponytail to create a fullness. Twist hair into a loose bun and pin.
4. Smooth flyaways with Semisumo and finish with Spray de Mode hairspray for lasting hold. Pin It

Amanda Seyfried {Golden Globes}

We are always attracted to long, natural waves and Amanda's were no exception, we love her soft natural ombre (or sombre as we like to call it).
1. On dry hair spritz your ends with Surf Spray.
2. Wrap hair, away from your face, around a curling iron. Continue to do this until all your hair is curled.
3. We like to spritz a little more Surf Spray and then breaking up the hair with your fingers to the amount of wave or curl that you like. Finish with Spray de Mode Hairspray for light hold. Pin It

Zooey Deschanel {Golden Globes}

 Over the next week we will be sharing tutorials of some of our celebrity hair favorites from the Golden Globe awards on Sunday. Let's start the week off right with Zooey Deschanel and her retro pony.
1. As always, when you're pulling your hair up it tends to work best on dirty/second-day hair (it will hold and shape better). Spray some Bb. Hair Powder throughout hair to soak up oils and give hair grip.
2. Tightly curl the ends of your hair and spray with Spray de Mode hairspray for hold. Roundbrush bangs for a little volume and curl (ask your stylist to cut your bangs so they gradually get longer towards the sides).
3. Backcomb the top of your hair and spritz with more hairspray.
4. Smooth all your hair back to the back of your head and secure with a hair tie. Break up your ponytail curls to your liking. Finish with another spritz of Spray de Mode.

Hat Hair

Some days it's inevitable that you leave the house with some sort of hat on (hello bad hair day). Leandra (The Man Repeller) shares her hair tricks on how to get out the door without looking too scary. Spray Surf Spray all over hair and scrunch, followed by a splash of Semisumo for shine. Voila!
