Chemically Treated Hair

If you highlight, color, perm, or straighten, it may be in need of more TLC than usual. Choose this combo to replenish, protect and polish as you blow-dry. (It's great for natural beauties, too).

Prep+Color Minded Styling Balm
Before blow-drying: Prep and Color Minded Styling Balm nourish and smooth with just a touch of hold.

Color Minded UV Protective Polish
After blow-drying: Color Minded Polish adds shine and dimension and protects from the elements.

January Jones' Pink Streak‏

We are mid-way through summer and we know your color has faded. Sometimes as a blonde it's time for a little punch of color to brighten up a washed-out hue. When we saw January Jones' pink streak we knew we found the answer for those of us looking for a subtle yet fun change. It's high impact, yet drama-free and refreshed. Adding peach or light pink tones to a golden blonde infuses hair with a rose gold tone—a very popular look right now. It also enhances the skin and gives it a summery glow. Choose a tone that’s subtle so it looks youthful and not too edgy. Ask your Salon K stylist if this would be a good option for you! Pin It

Short, Edgy and Perfectly Blonde

We are so embarrased that we never shared the images from The Bumble and bumble Color Minded campaign, expecially because they are so amazing! Can we talk about this blonde?! It's short and edgy but still feminine and versatile. To get this look:
1. Apply Color Minded Styling Balm throughout damp hair.
2. Blow-dry hair using a flat brush then curl each section using Does it All.
3. Brush out curls and finish the look by rubbing a small amount of Color Minded Styling Balm through the hair
4. Use Color Minded Polish for shine and separation if needed.

MTV Movie Awards: HAIR

There were lots of lovely locks on the MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet. Here are some of our favorites....From Brunettes to Blondes Ombre hair color proved to still be a big trend for summer. It's more natural then last years drastic version (think Drew Barrymore), it's perfect for sunkissed highlights.

The redhead trend keeps growing, Emma Stone went back to her natural roots. Expect to see a lot of redheads this fall.

The blondes didn't disappoint, we are loving the look of blonde on blonde (subtle highlights). A lot of celebs kept their hair in natural waves. Gorgeous!

Believe in Blonde

BELIEVE IN BLONDE THIS SUMMER...

And color support shampoo and conditioner - golden tickets to keeping color-treated blondes cool (or warm, as you prefer). To keep tones true, treat light locks like fine washables: Rinse after a dip in the pool or surf, use low-pH cleansers with subtle lather and cover up with a hat or head scarf to fight the shine-sapping effects of the sun.

COOL BLONDES
Classy, not brassy - kind care for platinum bombshells to silver foxes who like to keep it cool.
GOLDEN BLONDES
Cleansing and conditioning with a trace of color so the sun never sets on that warm, golden glow.
