Racoon Hair Extensions

At Salon K we specialize in Racoon Hair Extensions. Racoon has two different methods, Micro-Wefts and Bonded. They are Euro Hair which is the finest quality human hair. Extensions are great for lengthening and/or thickening your hair. They are also great for Frontals, hair tends to break off around the face making the front shorter and back longer, you can add some extensions around the front making your hair feel longer and thicker.

Our stylists take a 2 day training course to learn the Bonded Method ensuring they are confident and can deliver a first class extension service. It is a specially formulated bonding agent (made from a mixture of completely harmless natural and synthetic compounds, including orange peel and pine kernal extracts) is added to the extension hair and then molded to the natural hair using a silicone rubber pad. The great thing about creating our own bonds is the hair colors can be completely customized to your hair. A full head of extensions usually takes 3-4 hours and lasts 3-4 months. You can then come in and rotate the hair extensions using the same hair.

The Micro Weft method is more temporary then the Bonded Method. A full head typically takes around 1 hour and lasts 3-4 weeks. The Micro Wefts are about 1 inch wide and are super thin. They use a patented "sticky tape" (for lack of a better word) to attach on the top and bottom of small sections. This method is great if you are new to extensions, for special occasions (dances, weddings, etc) or if you don't want to spend a lot of money in the short run. You can reuse the hair as well.

Because extension hair requires different care than natural hair, Racoon developed the Xtend Range to properly care for and mantain hair extensions. They are also excellent for natural hair. Their line includes a Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioning Mask, Everyday Leave-In Spray, Thermal Defense and a Serum.
