Product Spotlight: Bb. Hair Powder

What is Bumble and bumble Hair Powder? Well they add sexy va-va volume, extend the life of a blow-dry by absorbing excess oil and provide a dry texture that keeps pins and clips from slipping (so styles stay put). The shades enhance or shift hair color - these fantastic and fun forms of temporary color can be used to blend away roots between color appointments (Hallelujah!).

How to absorb oil (which is our personal fave!): Hold can 10-12 inches from dry hair; spray thoroughly, concentrating on oily areas. Let dry and style. We have found you need to be sure to protect clothing, bath and bed linens during use (spots can be easily removed with a mild soap and water).

White for white, silver, platinum, ash and champagne blonde
Blondish for darker blonde and lighter brunette
Red for all shades of red (also adds rosy tones to brunette and blonde). This shade has been discontinued so get it while you can!
Brown for chocolate, mahogany and chestnut
Black for inky brown, Asian, Hispanic, afro and goth Pin It

HAIR HOW TO

Crave Jennifer Anistons long beachy waves? Here are some tips to help you achieve this look at home.
Spray Bb. Thickening hairspray on your roots and ends of wet hair. Spray Bb. Surf Spray on the ends to add texture. Dry hair with a blowdryer until your hair is almost dry and put in velcro rollers, rolling up to your chin and let your hair air dry. If you're in a hurry use a blowdryer, let the rollers cool before you remove them. Another way to achieve this look is using the same products, blowdry hair until it's completely dry, then wrap random pieces of your hair around a large curling iron. Finish the look with a little more Surf Spray for more texture and Bb. Does it All Hairspray for a light hold. For extra shine mist some Bb. Shine on your ends.

Product Spotlight: Creme de Coco

Creme de Coco shampoo: Though Creme de Coco Shampoo isn't edible (you might wish it were since it smells so good) its benefits are undeniable; Even the surfactant (the stuff that actually cleanses) is a coconut derivative that lends an unusually luxurious lather.
More than a few flowers are in the recipe as well: The Mallow adds a soothing effect, and the Milk Thistle contributes its antioxidant properties.
why: Moisture-rich, shine enhancing, soothing, color-compatible
who: anyone, especially if dry or dull

Creme de Coco conditioner: Beauty secrets of the South Pacific are brought to you in this tropic-inspired balm. It makes full use of the Coconut - both oil and extract. Murumuru Butter and Meadowfoam Seed Oil are both rich moisturizers; Wild Olive Seed Oil is a very effective softener; Horsetail and Nettle were both chosen for their ability to promote lustrous hair. BONDED EXTENSIONS

Teresa has been growing her hair out for years but hasn't been able to get it past her shoulders. The solution? Extensions! We used the Racoon bonded method (more info here) and she looks amazing! The hair blended beautifully!

BEFORE

AFTER

If you are trying to grow your hair out but feel like it can't get past a certain length or it starts breaking off, extensions are the perfect fix. When you do your hair day to day you focus most of your time and heat (from the blowdrier, curling iron, flat iron, etc) on the top front, which is why you end up with shorter broken off pieces around your face. If you have extensions your focus becomes on the extension hair so you end up putting little to no heat on your regular hair. Not to mention you don't do your hair as often. In the end it will grow faster and healthier. Don't forget this is the last month you can get 10% off hair extensions! (offer ends august 31, 2009)
