The Blowdry Revival

New Bb. prêt-à-powder is the perfect product for reviving second day hair. Similar to Bb. hair powder, the difference being it is lighter and translucent. Pret a Powder is perfect for reviving a limp blowout either midday or the next day!
1.  Shake prêt-à-powder gently, like a salt shaker, at roots.
2. Work down lengths of hair in sections for even distribution.
3. Massage at the roots to revive your style.

Jennifer Aniston {Oscars Tutorial}

There's nothing more beautiful then a perfectly executed blow dry. It's natural yet feminine and glamorous all at once. The queen of this trend is, of course, Jennifer Aniston. The key to this style is a great cut but even more importantly great products, ask your Salon K stylist which products would work best for you (this tutorial is based on someone with fine to medium, straight hair).
1. On damp hair spray Prep all over (for vitamins, detangling and smoothing the hair), spray Thickening Hairspray from roots to ends (for volume) and smooth a dime sized amount of Grooming Creme from mids to ends (to smooth the hair and gives a satin finish).
2. Blow dry the hair upside down until 80% dry (it speeds up the round brushing process, your arms will thank you!).
3. Section out the hair however your prefer (in-salon we typically like the start from the top and work our way down) and begin round brushing the hair. Start at the root directing the hair up, then work to the middle and finish by smoothing the ends with the round brush. For maximum volume leave the round brush in until it cools or use hot rollers once you are done.
4. Rub a small amount of Semisumo in your palms and smooth through the ends for light hold and to banish flyaways. Finish with Spray de Mode for hold. Pin It

Jennifer Lawrence {Oscars Tutorial}

The Oscars were on Sunday, which means we have a bunch of hair tutorials to share with you straight from the red carpet! We loved the simplicity of Jennifer's hair in the front but the romance that was created in the back. We feel like we can't say this enough, updo's work best on dirty/second-day hair. Your hair will shape and hold better then freshly washed hair.
1. On dirty hair spray Bb. Hair Powder to soak up hair oils and give the hair more grip.
2. Leaving the hair on the sides of your face (above your ears) out, pull the rest of your hair back loosely with your fingers and secure at the nape of the neck with a hair tie.
3. Twist the ponytail into a loose bun and secure with bobbies.
4. Divide the hair above your right ear into two pieces, loosely twist the hair back and secure with bobbies, tucking the tail under. Repeat this step with the other section and do the same thing on the left side.
5. Rub a small amount of Semisumo into your palms and lightly smooth over hair to get rid of frizz and flyaways, spray with Spray de Mode Hairspray for hold. Pin It

Julianne Moore {Golden Globes}

We loved this smooth, classic French Twist on Julianne Moore. 

1. Spray Bb. Hair Powder on dirty hair to soak up hair oils. 

2. Create a deep side part. Backcomb hair at the crown and spray with Spray de Mode Hairspray for hold. 

3. Smooth all your hair to the nape of your neck with a flat brush. Starting at the nape of your neck twist the hair to the side and up, securing with bobbies as you go. 

4. Smooth flyways and add shine with Semisumo.

Kerry Washington {Golden Globes}

We loved the blunt on blunt on blunt of Kerry's hair, yet it is still soft and feminine. This whole style revolves around a great razor cut, it will give your hair texture and movement without having to add a bunch of layers, so make sure you go to someone who is trained in razor cutting (like our Salon K stylists!).
1. On wet hair spray Thickening Hairspray on roots and smooth Bb. Straight Blow Dry through the ends of your hair.
2. Blow dry hair upside down until slightly damp.
3. Section your hair out with clips and using a Boar Bristle Flat Brush (we love Bumble and bumble's) blow dry your bangs first (to avoid any wierd partings or kinks) and then blow dry hair smooth.
4. Smooth Semisumo through the ends for shine and texture. If you want more hold spritz some Spray de Mode Hairspray. Pin It

Anne Hathaway {Golden Globes}

We are obsessed with Anne Hathaway's pixie cut, we envy her for looking good with any hair length.
1. On wet hair spray Prep all over hair and smooth UV Styling balm through hair for light hold and shine.
2. Blow dry hair, use your hands to direct your hair where you want it to go (hair forward and to the side). You may need to use a flat brush to smooth your bangs and top layers.
3. Once hair is completely dry smooth Semisumo through your hands and sculpt hair into the shape you want, scrunching the top a little for volume and smoothing the sides and back down. Pin It

Emily Blunt proves that topknots can be just as much dressy as they are casual, it just depends on the placement of the bun.
1. On dirty/second-day hair spray Bb. Hair Powder to give the hair grip and to soak up any oils.

3. Lightly backcomb ponytail to create a fullness. Twist hair into a loose bun and pin.
