Our salon has a love hate relationship with Rooney Mara's hair at the Academy Awards. Some people loved it, some hated it. We will let you decide for yourself. It was very blunt and structured, but so was her dress so they paired well together. Blunt, straight across bangs were the star of this 'do, if you're not ready to make the commitment you could always try clip in bangs. This style would be great on pretty much any hair type, it would also be a great way to style second-day/dirty hair (skip to step #3).1. Spray damp hair with Prep and Styling Lotion.
2. Using a round brush blow dry your bangs forward and curl under. Blow dry hair until completely dry, smoothing with a boar bristle flat brush.
3. Smooth a nickel sized amount of Bb. Gel through the top and sides (avoiding your bangs) of your hair smoothing it back into a ponytail at the back of your head. Secure with a hair band.
4. Roll your ponytail under and secure with pins. Finish with Spray de Mode hairspray. Easy and classic. Pin It
