Texture Texture Texture

We are all about letting your natural texture fly and Marc Jacobs did just that on the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 runway. This halo of luscious curls is playful, youthful and just plain cool!
1. On damp hair smooth Bb. Curl Defining Creme and Bb. Texture throughout and let air dry (or a diffuser if you're in a hurry!).
2. Once hair is dry release curls to maximum fullness with your fingers.

Curls and Twirls

Help your guy appreciate his curly locks and wear them with pride! Curly hair and products have come a long way so don't be afraid! Ok so if your guy is a zero-maintenance type who has no interest in wrangling his curls each morning he should probably just go with a buzz. Simple and easy but still handsome (think Brad Pitt circa Ocean's 12).

If he's willing to put a little into his hair use this picture of Orlando Bloom for inspiration. Ask your Hair Stylist to cut the sides short with scissors (scissors are key! clippers won't do curly hair any favors), leaving the top longer. Throw a little Grooming Creme in damp hair and you're good to go!

If he’s up for a styling commitment, keeping his locks longer with loose tousled curls always looks amazing! Think Russell Brand on a good day. Bb. Defining Creme will work magic on long locks, smoothing, getting rid of frizz and helping define his curls. Pin It

Recipe for Success

You leave the salon with amazing, luscious, locks but we all know it's much easier said then done when it comes to styling your hair the same way at home!
How to get a good blowout
The Brush: It really does matter what kind of brush you use to blow dry your hair, it must be quality! You need a four bristle round brush. At Salon K we use the wooden Spornette brushes and the Bumble and bumble brushes. Also, the brush needs to be big, almost too big. The bigger the brush the bigger the volume.
The Sections: Sometimes it seems like a nuisance to section out your hair but it really makes blow drying it easier and quicker in the long run. It's crucial to section your hair out in as many pieces as possible.
The Dryer: Again, it must be quality. It's hard to spend a pretty penny on an expensive blow dryer but you really will notice a world of a difference! You need the power and the heat. Start at the front (but don't neglect the back) and make sure you are working every section dry. You don't need to start using a brush until your hair is 80% dry. Our favorite brands are Babyliss and Chi.
Straight Hair: Bumble and bumble's Thickening Hairspray and Grooming Creme are a must!
Curly Hair: Thickening Hairspray if you need volume, Straight Blow Dry is a miracle for straightening and Defining Creme if you want to stay curly. Pin It
